About
Department of Computer Science has been established in the Academic year 2004-2005. PG Course was initiated in the academic year 2017-2018.Computer science is the study of computers, including their hardware and software. It is a broad field that encompasses all aspects of computing, including figuring out new ways to solve problems using computers and improving how computers work. Computers use data structures and algorithms to do complex computing.
The study of computer science advances those capabilities while improving upon and inventing new computing machinery that can improve lives.The Computer Science field is one of the fastest growing and highest paying career paths in the world. The main objective of the department is to produce worldwide competitive, highly skilled, socially responsible Computer Science graduates who can work in highly challenging technology and ever dynamic industry besides research and development.
History
The Department of Computer Science was established on 2004 with the undergraduate program B.Sc Computer Science in the CBCS pattern under the syllabus of Alagappa university.
2004The department have started B.Sc Computer Science.
2017The department have started M.Sc Computer Science.

- Our computer lab has 130 systems which is a very good facility for students it can accommodate a large number of students at the same time .Each student gets individual access to a computer for practice.
- The lab supports programming project work and online activities proper maintenance and technical support are provided useful for practical exams and training sessions. It improves the student’s technical skill and confidence.
